I like to work with children and animals

at the same time.

I started off as a rock n roll photographer.
Then I moved onto arty stuff, nature and portraits of folk in the country.
Recently I took up the wedding photography with real heart.

Now, all too soon it seems, I'm working with babies and animals. It's only natural, since when they get married, they.... buy a puppy - and later have a baby...

Here are Sam and Stu my Brisbane buddies and their new creation, Toby.
(and Roxie the puppy too).

Honestly, you can't really make a bad photo of a cute little button like Toby!

Should I start another website called 'I heart babies'?

Oscar takes over the last frontier

When my desk gets covered in crap I move to the dinner table, when that's covered in crap I move to the coffee table, when that's covered in crap I move to the floor.

Yep, so been working off the floor on a yoga mat.

But now Oscar has moved in... he has a funny way of finding the one place in the house he shouldn't lie. And now his nose is in a palette of red paint and I'm working on the couch.

I just wanted to share my giggle.

Oscar's Creative Poo

Oscar is a pretty smart dog. Some people think he's well behaved too.
But I'm quick to tell them that he uses his 'smarts' for evil.

Last week he opened the pantry and took out several bags of foodstuffs. I came home to see a floor of empty bags. The labels included: Raw Almonds, Prunes, Dried Apricots, Organic Raisins and Millet. There was also the remains of a red cabbage.

I thought it warranted a Facebook status...

I felt inspired by the response...

Hence I have created an artistic impression of Oscar's poo over the 24 hour period post pantry-feast.

It's on a scale of 1:10
(far far larger than regular poo)

I actually laughed at each one.

Postcards from Oscar 2

I bring you another couple of Oscar Postcards from the Sunshine Coast.

Scraping in with an hour to blog before midnight (as per promise to blog every day)... woohoo!

Postcards from Oscar

Oscar is overdue for a 'segment'.

Hence I bring you the first in a series of Oscar Postcards from Queensland.
(We live here now!)

We stopped at The Big Pineapple. Oscar thought this pun was great! He's sending it out to mum, dad, chris and mike. And all the dog sitters, beach trip takers and exes out there. xo

Up the top of the range, Oscar took a leak. This is where home is now, Flaxton. It is snuggly nestled between Monteville and Mapleton. This card is for all future vistors. We can't wait to see you! xo

DIY postcards are the best!

It's a Dogologue

I would like to coin a new term, Dogologue.

We all know the term monologue (often me with mirror discussing things OR practicing my quick witted response - in retrospect).

Dogologue is similar, but with dog instead of mirror.

Anita demonstrates above.

Too much transport

My transport options are a bit too many at the moment.
Here is the queue I'm growing outside the house.

I'm getting rid of the Volvo, a hand-me-down curse (peak of curse was when (in front of an attractve man) I Freudulently referred to it as my Vulva.

It has to go. But surprisingly, I have no takers. ho hum. Volvos. Who wants em anyway?

So, with the rest, I've got two solutions to my 'too much' transport problem here.

1. Stack and Ride

2. Ditch all and canter through rose petalled gardens with my Oscar-the-wonder-horse.

My everything

Oscar the Portuguese Water Dog - needs another post in his category!

He's my best friend, my baby, my exercise-encourager, my loneliness dissipator, my reason that I'm not talking to myself, my model and my example of how people should BE a bit more.

And yeah, I've trained him to do this. I call it 'cuddles' so I don't have to bend over. Plus he makes a great boogie partner. (Seriously).

Oscar and The Watermelon

The best part about having just bought a huge but tasteless wedge of watermelon, is combining it with a restless dog that eats anything.

Oscar very slowly worked out that licking is going to take a really really long time.
