Yeah, I was cool once

The sloppy jumper, the big spectacles, the puppy on a string necklace, the bright coloured pop swatch.
I suppose it's all about timing. Mine was just a bit off.

OR Perhaps I was avant garde? A future leader of fashion? Yeah! At the time I thought I was just a big dag! But now that geek-chic is all the rage I can look back and revise my self-perception. I was cool, now.

Do all these geek-chic lemmings know the origin of their newly taken up style? Have they even done their research??
When they take their cues from the trendy magazine fashion spread and source their non-prescriptive frames, tie their hair in a high bun and search out hideous patterned garbs, do they know who they are copying? Are they at all aware of their sheep-like unconscious attraction to dressing like ME circa 1990?

Yeah, didn't think so.

I suppose you could say my coke bottle thick perscription glasses aren't _quite_ the right shape, and maybe the string on my necklace isn't the best length, maybe it should have been on a chain? And yeah, my hair would have been better lifted into a messy bun.... but details details. The essense is there, right down the thick eyebrows and badly shot photograph to go with it.
