Eskimo Joe and Me in Jmag

It's like being 21 again, skipping down to my local newsagent to collect the magazine with my photographs in it. This time, it's Eskimo Joe. I first shot them for 'Sweater' back in 1997. It was sweet to be back again 12 (what the hell!!) years later. And what a transition. I should dig up my old photos to show how things have moved on...

Here they are. Cover of Xpress Magazine 1997. And another shot from a promo shoot we did.

I don't think you're ever too old (experienced or cynical) to be proud. I even showed my barista my spreads...

Why should I underplay the niceness of being asked to be a featured contributor? Sometimes acknowledging how chuffed you are makes me think they might suss out that I'm unprofessional and maybe I don't deserve it.. y'know?

But I'm practicing not being afraid of expressing my glee.

I was also pretty impressed with what the art director (Curt Livingston) did with my pic. It gives the guys a particularily angelic and bizarre look. Suits their new direction.
