This is the creative home of Natalija Brunovs.
A blog is a reason to create.
A creation is a reason to blog.
To force oneself to create can force inspiration to occur.
These thoughts and images are from wanderings and workings as an artist, photographer, designer, community artsworker and lover.

Natalija Brunovs

I reside somewhere between a beach in Perth and up a paw paw tree in the tropics of Queensland.

I'm a Latvian American Australian Pisces of fantastical dreams and questionable questioning. I've headed up a couple of Perth design studios, been a photographer for 16 years (reaching my fame at 21 as a band photographer and now I shoot weddings for FUN), I've shot some films, including one documentary in South Africa, I've worked as a community arts facilitator with refugees, youth and Indigenous folk, painted stuff, legal and illegal, I've been in quite a few activist 'events' against uranium, whaling and the chopping down of old growth forests - I've worn a numbat suit, I've lay down in the middle of an intersection and learnt to drive boats fast for Greenpeace. I seek some form of enlightenment in this lifetime so that it doesn't feel like a wasted opportunity. So I meditate, explore and find connections. I'm a creative generalist, an artist of questionable production, however I believe that being an artist is a state-of-mind.

I currently work as an ABC Open media producer in the Sunshine Coast, QLD.

My blog is my way to keep creative despite inspiration's reliable inconsistency. The blog is my little space to fill, giving me a reason to develop an idea beyond the little flash in my mind's eye. So with my invisible audience, I can 'launch' my ideas rather than store them in a little book or let them slip into my subconscious.
